starter/electrical problem

When i went to start the truck the starter would stay on. Even after i turn off the truck it stays on. I took the cable off the starter solenoid to get it to turn off. Anytime i touch the wire back on the solenoid post the starter turns on. Got a new solenoid. Same issue. Even when the keys arnt in the truck. Any idea? Is the ignition in the truck sticking?

could be.....sounds more like the wires on the solenoid are not installed on the correct posts. Take a look at this post:91 Bronco Starter Solenoid Wiring, with photo.

Can't seem to paste the link, type "solenoid" in the search box, and look down the list about 3 to 5 posts.

The pic helps loads.

Could be ign switch and/or the ign sw actuator

Thatnks guys. Ill rewire it with those pucs and see what happends
