I had trouble last week with my Bronco shifting , well I got that fixed, it was the clutch. My ex-husband installed a new one. The clutch works fine now but I am having problem I didn't have before my ex put the new clutch in. Now it stalls on me, engine dies when I come to a stop and let off gas petal. It sometimes wants to jump and die when I am at the speed below 45. I have accused hime of doing something wrong while installing the new clutch. Please Help?? <_<

HA..! that's funny...it's called "married to the vehicle"...!!

If you fix a tail-light for someone, & the front tire goes flat,...it's your fault..!! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

"Now it stalls on me, engine dies when I come to a stop and let off gas petal."

Seperate issue....(best to have all the facts B/4 you post....i.e. eng., carb. or fuel injection, year & model of veh., etc.)

Could be carb. or injection, or fuel pump related.

There is a chance he disturbed a fuel line or elect. fuel pump wire but this would be an outside chance, but stranger things have happened.

1986 bronco11 2.9 fuel injection manual 4x4 5 speed, is this enough info. I had rather be married to my Bronco than my ex. Ha, Ha. All I am saying is that it was running just fine before he put the new clutch in. And besides that my ex hates fords and hates to work on them. He is a chevey man. He only put the clutch in for me to try and save me money, {well him in the long run}. Back to my bronco, If you have anymore thoughts on what the problem is I sure would like to hear it . Thank you, Missie >

i posted on the other topic, but this one's fresher (lol)

i have the same, an 86 b2 2.9 5speed stick

it could be a multitude of different things, ranging from the fuel pump, filter, m.a.p sensor, throttle positioning sensor, vacuum lines, pcv valve not working properly, anything, but these are sometimes the main culprits.

take pictures, if you can, of the driver side fraim rail on the inside, under the door, as well as good right, left, center photos of the engine bay. this might help

Hi Missie,

HA..! that's funny...it's called "married to the vehicle"...!!

If you fix a tail-light for someone, & the front tire goes flat,...it's your fault..!!

No, what this 'lil saying means is; The guy who does the "fixing" is now married to the veh. ....everything that goes wrong from that point on, is his fault, according to the owner.

No diff. between Ford & Chev. ...he's just being a butt... ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Ask him about a Vega or Astro Van..! :))

If you get a computer scan...it may help isolate the prob. (I'm not up on B-II's)

Good luck, hope it's a minor thing,
