Is there a gasket or spacer between the spindle and knuckle on a 74' EB w/ Dana 44? My right wheel leans in at the bottom about 3/8". Can't detect any bent axle housing or loose parts, but there appears to be a shim or gasket that is thicker (1/16') on top than on the botton (0") between the spindle and the knuckle. This was all pulled down by someone else for a u joint replacement a year or so ago and it's just been sitting around during the major rebuild. Any help appreciated.

Sounds like you have found an alignment shim.

They used to be fairly common, don't come across them much anymore though.

Yes Sir, you were right, I dug into it this weekend, looks like a gasket, only thicker to one side. I flipped it 180 degrees and put it all back together and now everything is straight up and down. Made me feel a lot better.
