Thought i would introduce myself here as my Fiance and I are looking at a Bronco where the deal seems very tempting and I have a few concerns. First off we live in Alberta, Canada. name is Adam. We have been looking at getting a SUV for winters mostly and a little fun in the summer! Anyways we have looked at Jimmy, Blazer, and so on. Then I came upon this:

1993 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer

139,000 Original Kilometers. No Rust!

All options except leather. Interior is immaculate.

5.8L w/Auto all stock except K&N filter.

6" Pro Comp Lift (1000kms on lift)

35" Tires (I think they were mud terrains)

Includes a 7" in dash dvd with rear back-up camera (installed)

Top has never been removed (I heard this is a good thing)

So this is pretty much the truck in a nutshell. The frame has been sandblasted and repainted, there is no rust anywhere on the body that i seen. It is a 2nd owner vehicle. I dont know to much about these but it seems like a very good deal at $5000. My biggest concerns are fuel mileage, Now i know they arent great but anyone have this same setup? Also whats it take for the speedo adjustment, how much would it be out ballpark? Any other things i should look for as I am taking my final test drive today before i decide.

Sorry for the long write up. Just looking for some help from knowledgeable owners! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Welcome to the Zone > .

The price sounds good for a 93 in emaculate condition. As far as the speedo goes, if it needs adjustment, we can give you a proceedure but wait till you buy it. Why do you think it needs adjustment? Didn't the current owner do the adjustment when changing tire size?

If fuel milage is your big concern, a Bronco isn't your cup of Tea B) . If the engine has been keept in good condition, you will proably get around 12 MPG (don't have an immediate conversion into km/liter).

Good luck,

:)>-

welcome to another fellow albertan!!!

you have to keep in mind with a lifted bronco fuel milage is not going to be good

you have a 6000lb box on wheels going down the road

but they are great rigs. i daily drove my bronco for over a year and i loved it.

and besides if you get the bronco you can join us at the rocky mountain bronco rally next year

let us know if you decide to get it. sounds like a great rig

Sounds like a great rig but if fuel mileage is your concern then thats not what you want to buy. With 35's your mileage will sorry to so blunt but it will ****

With a 5.8 anywhere from 8-14 mpg is common but it depends on driving style and vehicle condition. You also have to remember the Blazers and Jimmy's(if they are fullsize) get the same amount of mileage. I hate to say not to buy a bronco but if fuel is a big problem try looking at smaller SUV's like a cherokee.
