ok so i got a 93 fullsize bronco with a 5.0 standard tranny. i was cleanin the dash and steering column with some fantastik the other day and i was sprayin it all over. i think some must have dripped down into the column cause when i went to start it up i turned over half a crank and everything went dead dash, lights, radio, rear window and nothing when i turn the key. i have taken out the lock cylander to inspect but i dont know whats going on. one time jiggling the key cylinder while turning it i got the dash lights to come on and it clicked like it wanted to turnover. but i tried many more times and nothing. also the voltmeter jumps like 1/16 of an inch when i turn the key on but thats the only noticeable change at all. what the **** is going on? any insight would be nice thanks in advance!!!

You probaboy blew a fusable link supplying the power from the battery to the rest of the truck. Since you lost everything I would suspect the one connected to the Start Relay. Keep in mind I'm speaking from a 80 - 86 Bronco point of view. I believe 87 - 96 still used fusable links at least the ones in the 80's did. The link should be aattachec directly to the Start Relay at the end of a yellow wire.

Good luck,

OOPS the wire color is black with Orange stripe. you can see a fusable link attached to the end of it in the picture above.

Good Luck,

Also, I have scaned in some picts of the power distribution in the previous post about electrical problems. The diagram won't be 100 percent for your truck but will be close. I worked on a 96 the other day using the info from my 83 EVTM only found minor differences.

Good luck, :)>-

Also, the water probab ly got into the actual start switch not the key switch. The start switch is located on the top of the column about a foot from where it goes thru the firewall. It has a mass of wires plugged into it. Blow it out if you can. A rod connects the key switch to the start switch. If you remove it, make sure you mark it so you don't have to mess around getting it readjusted right.

Good luck,

:)>-
