hdb, there has been recent talk about a new company making soft-tops for the Bronco, and there may be a thread in the forums. I cannot post a link to the thread at present, but try a search using "Softtop". (Be sure to use the " marks.) You can also watch ebay, Craig's List and other classifieds for a top from Kayline or Skyler Corp. Those companies are no longer in business, but I see used tops for sale on a regular basis. I recently sold both of my tops from each company, but do have pics of the Skyler Corp fastback-style softtop in my Supermotors. net gallery. Just click on my username, and go to my homepage link to Supermotors. These tops sold new for $600, and the Kayline brand tops sold for $400 from BG. They go anywhere from $200-$1000+ on the internet classifieds, depending on condition and demand. I sold both of mine for $500 each since I put in a rollcage and could no longer use that style, JSM84

yo,

There ya go, great info! Some (just a few @ times) ebay tops are as "new", never installed by the owner, usually because they were given to them as a gift and they never installed them.

Also, check out ARO's Ford Bronco Custom Tonneau for 1980 - 1996 models

(formerly sold through Soft-Tops.com)

This is what they describe, btw tonneau style is reallt the fast back style);

"Sailcloth vinyl, dielectrically sealed seams and window. Pre-mounted snaps and easy to understand installation instructions. Available in a wide variety of Haartz vinyls and Haartz Stayfast cloth colors. Standard models have (1) AS6 DOT 40 gauge automotive grade clear vinyl window on the center deck as shown. Tonneau with optional side windows for better visibility also available. Charcoal, Green, Smoke tinted windows also available

This cover provides ample headroom for a full sized adult to sit in the 3rd seat!

These are made-to-order to insure freshness and to reduce quality issues from being left folded in a box on the shelf for too long. Depending on seasonal demand, expect shipment within 1-5 days from receipt of payment.

Vinyl colors available - CLICK HERE

Stayfast cloth colors available - CLICK HERE

=============================

This is what BigUgly88EB wrote about ARO elsewhere;

"...just got off the phone with Putt Georgi, owner/president of ARO Convertible Tops & Glass out of Walden, NY. I had heard in another thread that they were producing "tonneau-style" soft tops for Broncos and decided to investigate.

Mr. Georgi advised me that ARO is currently making two styles of soft top (click here): STC/Fastrac style and "Fastback." The Fastback runs about $395 in vinyl or a little extra in Stayfast Cloth. The STC style is $1500-$2000, depending upon whether or not you want a bolt-on frame rather than drilling holes for snaps. At this time, a bolt-on frame is not available for the Fastback tops. That was something that soft-tops.com had produced, but ARO is in the process of finding a machine shop to make a similar setup.

Each top is made-to-order, and they can usually crank out a soft top in 2-3 business days in any color you want, with clear or tinted windows. Since each top is custom-made, you have the option to add extra windows (Fastback), etc.

Another interesting thing that Mr. Georgi told me is that ARO has always produced the Fastback tops for soft-tops.com, who went out of business about 6 months ago. He has been trying to contact them, but no luck so far

The second link I posted are pics of the tops on their website (granted, they're originally from other websites). He advised me that those pics are very good representations of their products.

You could give him a call at 845-778-1314 and ask, though.

The "tonneau" style offered by ARO is the FastBack. At this time they do not produce anything similar to the Skyler top.

Seems like a bolt on frame could be made using frame rails for a snap on tounneau cover. trims the rails to size, drill holes, and install usig factory bolts...maybe a problem aligning the snaps to the factory bolt holes between models years (As they vary)?
