ok so since my motor is out and in rebuilding prosses i want to go with short tube headers, my problem is all i can find are oval port headers and i have square port heads. i e-mailed summit and they said you can use oval on square port heads and it work fine...is that true? i have a hard time wrapping my mind arount that. also wich gasket? oval or square...my guess is square

A few more specifics about the engine & truck would be helpful. As a general rule it's not difficult to find headers for the engines most commonly found in Bronco's (300, 302, 351W, 351M, 400). The oval port types work ok with the square ports because the diameter of the oval is generally a bit larger than the exhaust port. Occasionally you do run into a set of headers that will leak but that seems to be more of a quality control thing. I usually spend the $$$ for O-ringed header gaskets, that gasket is one place you shouldn't skimp, a set of high end gaskets is always worth the cash you spend.

These guys carry square port headers, I bought headers for my Ranchero from them but have no experience with their truck stuff.
