Hey, I have this 1988 Ford Bronco with a 302 engine.. been fixing it up (heater core replacement, vacuum hose replacement, etc) and noticed the instrument panel does not indicate the gears. Took off the dash and noticed the cable just sitting there, and upon looking online there is a white clip the cable runs through before it connects. Well it's missing. Is there any way to either go without it, or buy one online somewhere?

The white clip is attached in a picture and attaches to the steering column.

The part number on the original is E7TF-7B033-A

Thanks,

Tyler

Update: Went to a junkyard and had no luck, so I just ordered a new one from Ford so it would work reliably and with the correct parts. Costed $85, surprised they still sold them.

Yo Cole,

Sorry for a belated Welcome!

I was looking at the Ford parts catalogs and aftermarket supplies, but had to get off-line yesterday.  Good that For stil has the parts!

You're good thanks for the welcome! I'll probably be back on here soon enough.. all of the vacuum hoses have dryrotted and cracked. Going to put in all new rubber hoses and probably belts in a few days so it'll run better. Needs a lot of work before its drivable.

I want it to be done right, and getting a new shift indicator was probably the better way to go. Nothing else in the dash is messed up at all, so luckily I think its the only part I'll have to buy directly from Ford.
