shake when I brake

Im sure this question has been asked before. I have a '93 bronc, and every time I brake the whole front end skakes pretty bad. I plan on lifting it, but I want to make sure everything works properly first. Anyway this is driving me nuts. Any help would be great.

Could be a couple of things, tires need balanced or your rotor brake disc's are warped. I would bet on the disc's more then I would the tires. Any wheel that has a disc brake behind it, should not have the lug nuts installed with an impact wrench, as the uneven torque applied will warp the rotors.

Ziggy is right. You most likely have warped rotors. You can TRY to get them turned but you will be better getting new ones.

If you do change them you mide as well get a set of calipers and pads.

I say this because I have seen sticky calipers cause the rotors to warp.

If you are getting a suspension lift then you are going to need longer brake lines up front so you should do that with the calipers.

Thanks for the replies. The last time I replaced my pads I had the rotors turned, it seemed to work pretty good for a few months. Then after that the, same problem occured. I'm going to replace both the rotors and the calipers at the same time. We'll see what happens.
