I have a 95 Bronco and I am going to be installing a second battery in my rig real soon. I know how to do the wiring and already have a kit from painless. The only problem that I am running into is finding a place to mount the second battery. Does anyone have any ideas?

You can either put it beside the original one by turning them sideways and welding up a new battery tray, or go to the scrap yard a find a truck that has dual batteries, I have seen them mostly on camper special trucks and some diesels, they use a different washer fluid and coolant overflow setup so you will need those too. The second battery is on the drivers side

Thanks for the idea, I may try turning the one sideways and welding in a new tray. I want to try to leave as much in their stock locations, so if I can I don't want to replace the coolant catch and washer tank.

Thanks.

I choose the turning sideways idea as well. Two optima batteries fit quite well like that

Thanks for the link. Now that I have seen what it looks like I will probably make one myself, I don't see the point in dropping over $600 for one of these kits. It looks simple enough to make the tray, and I already have the wiring kit from painless.

Thanks again.
