i have an 89 xlt bronco with an efi ** 306..i bought ford racing injectors for it but the are the stock lbs, just a better design i guess, i have all emissions stuff hooked up, no cats tho, it is running rich, when i rev it black puffs shoot out, i have hedders with tru dual exhaust so the O2 sensor is only reading one side of the engine, is this ok?? and if not what to do, and if it is..what else could be making it run rich

when i rev up my truck when cold it puffs black smoke. when fully warmed up their is none. when does yours puff black. all the time or just when cold?? it might also be because of no cats because when hot, the cat will burn off any extra fuel in the exhaust.....lowering the emisons. i just installed a oxygen sensor air/fuel gage in my truck to see what the exhaust emissions was doing after installing my cam. when under full load it goes full rich with out running lean at all so i guess i don't need bigger injectors :D/ how much were the ones from fordracing??
