old_dash_panell.jpgdash_sand.jpgdash_temp_3.jpgdash_temp.jpgdash_temp2.jpgWorking on the dash now. Sanded it down to the old and am test fitting it. Still have to take it off and do a lot more. Including the brake pedal assembly, etc.

New Pics here

I started on the drivers side. Boy, the more I cut, the more rust I found. that is alright though. I have most of the floor pan in now. You can look at the progress on My Bronco Project

I will keep you all updated on the progress..

Looks excellent! I am probably going to be in the same situation in a few weeks. Do you think you came out ahead by fabricating your own floor boards. I am not as adept at welding as you appear to be, and am wondering if, with all the mistakes I am bound to make, it would be the right decision to fabricate my own as well. I really enjoy the pics you have put up of your overhaul. Good luck.

I just added the rest of the floor pan pics. I have them all tacked, but now it is time to start welding it all up.

I am working on the dash panel now. I sanded it down to the old paint and metal. I am not sure what I will do for replacement knobs as so forth. I am going to have to make a bracket for the steering colum to attatch to. I have a dash pad for it that is in pretty good shape.

I guarantee that even if it doesn't make a profound effect on your son now, it is something he will cherish later in life. Thanks for the reply and keep up the work.
