Im interested in purchasing some 35/12.50/15 tires. What is the minimum width rim that those will fit on. Seems the most popular 15 in rim is only 8 inches wide. And also could someone explain the backspacing measurement on rims. Does it mean its spaced that far away from the truck or is it the depth of the rims dish on the backside. Dont really know all the hip terminoligy yet so I hope someone can understand what Im trying to find out.

Thanks for all you guys help so far :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

So would less dish in the back help gaurd againts rubbing since it would seem that more of the with of the rim would be away from the truck?

i hope you plan on lifting your rig before you slap 35's under it. they'll fit, but not without considerable trimming at stock height. you can find 15" rims in anything from 7.5" wide to 15, 16, and 18" wide. you just have to know where to look. backspacing is the spec you are talking about. from the inner lip of the rim to the backside of the rim centersection. the less backspace you have, the farther the rim/tire will stick out from the truck, but that also means more stress on balljoints, lug studs, and wheel bearings

Yah, I didn't mention set back. That is another reason I like "The Tire Rack". They have extensive experience with "wheels vs vehicle vs tire size". They will only recommend a combination that is safe and right for your vehicle.

Good luck,

:)>-
