Got a pre-1974 351W engine. Want EFI but don't want to break the bank. I'd like to use junkyard Ford parts to convert it to EFI. Already know I'll need the 351 truck lower intake, car upper, and an adapter, TFI distributor, sensors, etc. Still would like to get in touch with someone who has already attempted/accomplished this. Specifically what cam and computer did you use, compression ratio, heads, throttle body diameter, fuel injectors, etc.

I did a 302 from a 72 to a 5.0 from an 87 swap & things wet together pretty easy. It's been almost 10 years since I did it, so I don't remember everything, but you might want to get in touch with Chuck from BC Broncos in Texas to ask those questions. He carries the adapter plate for the truck intake & car plenum and can probably give you a real good direction to go.

I did that swap two years ago. I used heads and intake from a cobra. The odd thing is that the heads are gt40, but the manifold is HO5.0. I got the harness from RJM and it was perfect. I need a new cam though. It doesn't handle it well. Good luck.

Well I never did hear back from BC Broncos but I decided to go ahead with it. Really don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. I tore the engine down and did discover that it's a '71 2V with the stock Ford cam. Should make for a nice offroading engine with a good amount of low-end torque.
