I have had a heck of a time with the rear window in my 93 bronco with it being very inconsistent. Finally after replacing the motor and regulator, I decieded to bypass both the tailgate and dash swithes and install a new switch in my front console, by running a wire from the battery, thru a fuse, and then back to the tailgate. I cut the old wires and plugged into the motor harness. This has solved the problem ... for about a year. Now when I flip the switch the motor engages, but will not raise the window more than an inch. I can lower it back down, but it will not come back up. I know it is not the wiring as I have tried jumping it directly to the battery and get the same results. The motor shuts off as if it thinks the window is all the way up, no slipping or grinding gears. are there limit switches on the motor?
