I've avoided this problem until now my rear window was working fine until today it would go up normally and then slow down at a certain point then speed up again until it closed today i went to lower the window and it started jerking like something was binding the gears i tried it with the key and it did the same thing i was able to push it down i took the rear panel off and tried to raise the window it still ****** i lifted and raised the the window manually with no problem i looked in a LMC truck catalog for a breakdown of parts i don't know if i need to replace the motor or mess with the regulator ***** any tips?

I had that problem for a while the good parts guy at ford suggested that I **** the gearing. I have made lubing this a regular habit when I notice it gets slow. Just pop of the access cover and use some lithium spray on anything that moves. Made a big differance worth the effort before you buy a new motor or gear set.

how easy is the motor to take out and change and what is a MPV
A little tight but can be done. A MPV is the Ford designation for Broncos. They never attached the SUV tag to a Bronco as it predates the Yuppie vehicles. MPV = Multi Purpose Vehicle. There was one exception with the EBs, one model was called a Sport Utility Vehicle which only described it's cab style not the purpose of the vehicle.

SUV = Stupid Useless Vehicle!! MPV means it is a real truck and has multiple purposes. Take the motor out and grease the gears in it too sometimes

in cool weather the grease gets real thick since most of the oil in the grease is gone anyways the cooler temps that are coming will only get slower.

Check the little deals the connect the shaft to the gear they are what wears out usually. Clean all the old grease and use some decent #2 grease and

some white lithium in there too. **** up all the linkage and the track at the bottom og the glass, You can use silicone on the sides or even armor all don't forget to armor all the weather strip on the window AND CLEAN THE DRAIN HOLES while you are in there so it don't rust if it isn't already. Some

cold galvanizing paint can prevent rust on the inside of the gate Just paint the whole lower half while you have the access plate off.
