it won't work on my 94 bronco. the button in the cab is and has been fried but it worked fine from the key whole in the rear. then one day it stoped working, it still made a noise when i turned the key. and i found out i could make it work by turning the key the correct direction and pushing the window down to open it or turning the other way and lifting it. but now it still makes the noise but won't budge. what wrong motor, regulator, linkage? i'm lost. any idea?

Does the motor sound like it is spinning? If it is, the bushings inside the motor are probably shot. If you take the motor out, and remove the gear cover, there are 3 bushings in there the crank gear rides against. You can get a replacement kit from any chain store. Just clean it out, add some fresh grease and bushings, and it should work like a charm.

This is for that back window that wasn't working correct? Does the tailgate key switch work?

Please keep your posts about a particular problem in the same thread so people won't have to wonder what you are talking about. It is sort of like walking into a conversation between two people that started 15 minutes ago, or coming in half way through a movie  .

I have merged the two threads B)

What if the motor isn't making any noise? I have checked all of my fuses in the interior fuse panel and all seem to be OK. Neither of my switches work. My windshield washer, cruise control and overhead console do not work either, so I am wondering if they are somehow connected.
