rear shock mounts

hey guys,

i want remove the old rear shock mounts one is broke at the stud the other severely rusted .question how do i get them off do you cut them off or chissel them off then im guessing the new set is welded back into place?

I assume you're talking top & bottom mount(s)

You can mount (new shock mounts) the shocks forward leaning---or, rear leaning. (I believe forward leaning is best for rear disc brakes)

As to removal of faulty old mounts.., a cutting torch works (with caution), a hi-speed grinder with a cut-off disc works well to cut a grove in the weld, or even a hacksaw & chisel.

Once off, a grinding disc can be used to smooth things out.

Yep...! the new ones need to be welded on.
