I have a ford 9in that im going to be getting rebuild. I have 33 in tires witha 4in lift on my 82'. They truck is mostly a daily driver with acassional trialing. I am putting in around 3.70 ears in it. Is it worth having rear disc conversion installed or not? For the couple hundred dollar and while the rear is actually off it would make the install easier. Whatcha think? :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

bigger tires might warrant rear disc brakes but many other people have 33's+ and lifts and just get used to stopping farther than others. but you cant put a price of safety. its really up to wether you are happy with the stopping distance or not.

Why spend money on a conversion kit? Jeffs has a set of rotors, and brackets for $300, and you still have to scrounge around the bone yards for the rest of the parts.

Just go to the bone yard first and rob EVERYTHING off an '80s model Lincoln. Then just buy your rotors from the parts store.
