on my 92 bronco, i just found out that the radiator and the water pump are bad. how hard is it to replace both of them? on my old 88 chevy it took maybe an hour or so to replace the radiator.

Fairly simple, one thing to remember is where each of the water pump bolts go. They can be different lengths, some go through the block or pump and may be rusty or hard to remove. It's also a good time to replace the thermostat with one of the newer failsafe models that stick open rather than closed if they go bad. I've had the most trouble with the lower radiator hose removal on several jobs like this. Good luck!!
