R12+R134 compatible

So my sticker on the Bronco is blue and silver, and says "R12+R134A Compatible - FLOW >"

What the heck does this mean??? :unsure:

That should mean the system was converted to R134. If done properly the reciever/dryer or accumulator was changed and the system flushed. However some oil will remain so the new oil charge should be esther oil or an oil compatiple with both R12 and R134. (the new ice32 is great, but expensive) Combining the wrong oils can be a disaster!

The determining factor on your system should be the charge ports. It was mandated that the ports had to be different, and R134 ports are larger and have internal threads. If your ports are like that you should use only R134 and a compatable oil in that AC system.

I know this is getting complicated but all this oil info is for converted systems. Newer original R134 systems in Fords, if not all manufactures, recommend PAG46 oil.
