I pulled some codes today to see what was wrong with the BKO...Here are the codes that I got...

KOEO

116=ECT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts.[??]

636=TOT sensor voltage out of self test range.[??]

114=ACT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts.[??]

10=Cylinder #1 Failed Cylinder Balance Test.[??]

CM

111=System pass! B)

KOER

10=Cylinder #1 Failed Cylinder Balance Test.[??]

116=ECT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts.[??]

636=TOT sensor voltage out of self test range.[??]

311=Thermactor air system inoperative(Right side) [??]

332=EGR valve opening not detected.[Replace EGR valve?]

411=Cannot control rpm during KOER low RPM check.[??]

538=Insufficient RPM change during KOER dynamic response test/ Operator error.[??]

536=Brake On/Off circuit failure / switch not actuated during KOER test[I didnt press the brakes :unsure: ]

632=Overdrive cancel switch not changing state (E4OD)[I didnt hit the switch :unsure: ]

I also noticed that when I first start the engine, the check engine light dont come on but when I give it gas a couple times it comes on. Basically I'm trying to figure out why its running rough. It also seems to be idle'd to high, its no lower then 1000rpm @ idle....I'm clueless :blink:

EDIT: Its a 92 Bronco w/351 motor.

Thats a whole lotta codes. Maybe try unhooking the battery for a few mintues and then rehook it up then re-test.

yo; some info:

KOEO

116=ECT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts.[??] Engine Coolant Temp) out of range. Coolant is less than 50degF for KOEO, or less than 180degF for KOER, or greater than 250degF for either. If coolant temp is in proper range, suspect ECT sensor, leaking thermostat

Read Ryan's info here

636=TOT sensor voltage out of self test range.[??]

114=ACT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts.[??] IAT sensor out of range - could be that Temp is excessive, causing a misread by the PCM; Intake Air Temp (IAT), (dirty) Cleaning w/Carburetor Cleaner

10=Cylinder #1 Failed Cylinder Balance Test.[??] - check for inoperative injectors - esp connector @ inj or wiring

CM

111=System pass! B)

KOER

10=Cylinder #1 Failed Cylinder Balance Test.[??] - see above

116=ECT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts.[??]- see above

636=TOT sensor voltage out of self test range.[??] - strange.. Ford Cd says it may be too cold for the test....never saw that before!

311=Thermactor air system inoperative(Right side) [??] Suspect AIR pump, diverter valve, solenoids, harness; Right or Rear HO2S

332=EGR valve opening not detected.[Replace EGR valve?] - ck EVR or PFE (see my site for info by others on testing)

411=Cannot control rpm during KOER low RPM check.[??] - Idle speed system not controlling idle properly (generally idle too high) - ISC

538=Insufficient RPM change during KOER dynamic response test/ Operator error.[??] - System did not receive "goose" test

536=Brake On/Off circuit failure / switch not actuated during KOER test[I didnt press the brakes :unsure: ] Open/short circuit

632=Overdrive cancel switch not changing state (E4OD)[I didnt hit the switch :unsure: ] - E4OD - Transmission Control Switch (TCS) should be cycled once between engine ID and Goose test

I also noticed that when I first start the engine, the check engine light dont come on but when I give it gas a couple times it comes on. Basically I'm trying to figure out why its running rough. It also seems to be idle'd to high, its no lower then 1000rpm @ idle....I'm clueless :blink:

have to roll; will look for other info tomorrow..gl!

So basically I could have a bad fuel injector(from code 10), and a bad/dirty IAC(from code 411)? I pulled codes because the truck is idleing high and running rough, Would any of these codes be related to that problem?

EDIT: Also the truck is real sluggish even after new plugs.
