Just curious if anyone has had this happen before, but I went camping with the boys over the weekend, and we were using the radio in the truck for a few hours at night and it drained the battery (rather quickly.)

Got some cables, boosted it, and then let it run and recharge. The rear window wouldnt roll up even though the truck ran for a good 30 mins, but after a 1 hour drive, kicked back in and rolled up without issue. The problem is now, the drivers side wont roll up all of a sudden.

I know this may sound stupid, but I am sure what could be wrong because the motor was working fine for the drivers side all the way up to the point the rear window fixed itself. Also, anyone know where to download a 1992 bronco xlt 4x4 owners manual? Thanks for any help.

it sounds like the motor needs more amps than just the batt alone it may be going out as for the manual have you tried looking in junkyards for one i am lucky enought to have several yards nearby i always see manuals left in there because unless you lost one noone wants em and they rarely leave the glovebox

For 1996 models only, but almost all infi is same as 92-96; Owner Guides (Manuals), Bronco/Ford truck & other Ford vehicles, free, download

Source: by Ford myford.fordvehicles.com FREE dnld; Register, have VIN ready and get the Guide.

Can also see any outstanding Recalls, etc. there.

btw, a bad thAng is that using the alternator to charge a dead batty can cause alt failure. "...battery should be fully charged before use to avoid overheating the alternator by trying to use it as a battery charger..." by thirskauto

Think this is a similar Q on the PW posted here this week; look @ the replies
