Okay guys I'm down to the last little bit. My swap of the guts of an 95 into an 88 bronco is about complete. Yes she is running, she sounds great, drives great... :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My 95 was an XL so it did not have power windows or door locks but my new 88 does! So after looking at everything, it looks like the main power feed for the 88 went to the passengers side door first, then back feed to the driver's side door.

But on the 95 harness (even tho it didn't have power windows) it still had power running from the dash for power windows but it ran to the drivers side then feed back to the passenger side. (just the opposite of the 88)

So unless I'm totally off base, I could take the old 88 harness (that was orginally attached to the firwall behind the dash)swap it around (along with the connectors for left and right side) repin the harness for the main power feed...

Then wham! i would have power windows! or am i totaly off my rocker...

Here is the wiring diagram. Power goes to both sides. If you reverse the harness, you will have to put the master switch on the passenger side.

hmmmmmm so what you're saying is i should put the 88 harness back in properly (so I don't have to swap the master switch and wires). then run a new power line from the left side off the 95 harness to the right side of the old 88 harness?

Sounds a lot easier!

Thanks!

Just to update this thread...

What makes this tricky is the 95 has an extra harness in case somebody wanted a factory security with remote door locks. So The 95 harness power wires LB-BK (for the door window) & BK-W (for the door locks) run from the right side and loop all the way around the floor giving power to the seatbelts, etc then back to the left side, then power the left door harness. Then the second harness in the 95 goes door to door under the dash. Windows run on circut breaker 14 in the fuse box and the door locks run on Circut breaker 12, so if i distrupted the power flow and would of had issues.

So I ended up installing the old 88 harness in the orignal position, zip tieing it under the dash. then removed the LB-BK & BK-W pins from the 95 harness from the floor at the clip on the drivers kick panel & repinned a new connector to attach to the old 88 harness at the power feed.

Anotherwords all that BS for two wires and didn't even cut anything... SOmetimes the simplest route is the easiest but the hardest to figure out. At least it became a clean job and I didn't have to put my butcher hat on.
