There is seal on the lower sector shaft, or where the Pitman arm attaches to the steering gear box. According to Ford, it's not repairable and you should get a new or rebuilt gearbox. Check the link to miesk5homepage in the tech articles forum to see how you might be able to remove and change the seal. It's going to leak there or on the top one, or from one of the lines. My 84 ps gearbox has leaked a little bit for 4 years, I just keep adding fluid to it.

There is a rebuild kit from ford my buddy works at a ford garage here . When mine was leaking he said what happens is the shaft will rust and the rust takes out the seal or the shaft gets pitted and the fluid makes it past the seal , He said its a real pain in the ass to rebuild them and suggested I get another box . I put another on it that I had and it started leaking in a few days so I put the one from the 92 Im scrapping on it and it was all better and still doesnt leak , Thank god . If you do get a used one try to find one off as new a vehicle you can with that style gear box . Ford ranger and explorer ones are the same up till like 98 when they went to totally independant . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

You're probably tried this but pwr steering fluid with stop leak stopped the leak in my box until I replaced it. Got many more miles out of it. This is only good for slow leaks. You might have blown the seal completely.
