Power Drain

Hey guys Im in a local car club yes yes i know its a car club and i drive a truck but anyways I was wondering if i hooked up lights to my radio would that draw alot of power from my radio? Because right now I have two 12in. subs in the back and i want them to look good at night with some neon lights. Help me out if yall have any better ideas. Thanks

Add a relay and a switch from the battery to the lights, you could go through the radio but it then presents the possibility of blowing a fuse or the head unit not getting enough power.
