I am going throu a 170ci to 302ci swap and would like to put an auto trans in my 1966 bronco. Which trans will fit my current transfer case.I have been given an overdrive trans out of a 92 f150. Will that fit? Will it fit the 93 302? What are my options?

yes, that tranny will fit. its an E40D, a respectable slush box. the only issue i can forsee is the fact that its also the longest trans for ever made, so your driveshaft angles are going to be crazy steep in the back, and very shallow in the front. you'll also have to fab up a new xmember to support it if i were you, i'd look for a C4 or C6 transmission. all ford small blocks share the same bellhousing pattern, so as long as its a small block and not a 351M or 400M, the trans will fit. and AFAIK, all ford t-cases shared the same bolt pattern too

I've got a similar situation. Mine has a 289 jabbed into the firewall as it was attached to the 6cyl. drivetrain. No matter how you look at it, Its a pretty spendy and time consuming venture unless you find a good doner truck. I'm regretably looking at t-18,435,and 3550 5-sp. conversions now. Send me your email add. and I'll send you some great articles on both.
