my 82 rear end leaks every where it can, pinion seal, axle seal, and brake cylinders I'm gonna replace evrything. My question is can you pull the driveshaft & yoke and change the seal or do you hafta crack the whole thing open? I think I have a 9" limited slip I dont know the ratio. the tag nos. are, top line , WFE ABC 1JO1 bottom line 3 L00 9 S323B. also can you change radius arm bushings without loosening at the front axle? thanks for any help :)>-

Afterm taking off the driveline you can undo the pinion bolt to slid off the yoke and pull out the seal and replace.

On the front, disconnect coils at the top, take off trac bar, drag link, driveline, sway bar and what ever else you see thats attached like brakes lines etc. The you should be able to drop the axle and pull it forward enough to get the arms out of the mounts on the frame. Are you replacing bushings?

the pinion has a crush sleeve in it and should be replced and retorqued if you take it off.

some folks just mark it and measure the tq and just put it all back on.that's up to you.

another thing to look for is grooves in the yoke or axles where the seal contacts it if you don't fix it,it will still leak.they sell sleeves for them.
