After having a pretty good drive home, thinking I would even open a Shiner to enjoy, I walked outside to find this waiting for me! Talk about removing the smile from my face, the cold Shiner that just seconds before had tasted so good now seemed as though it was there to drown my sorrow. I slowly made my way towards this puddle of misery, throwing myself on the ground I began to try and figure out what component had left such a disgusting site? As I wallowed in the mud and sorrow it was clear it was not the transmission has originally feared as this was clear in nature. I began to look for the culprit, no mass of wetness on the differential, so I moved towards the transfer case, not seeing anything jump out at me there either.

It was then something caught my eye and I began to channel my inner Indian Scout (which is difficult as I am mainly German), placing my ear to the ground as I have seen in countless movies I began to notice a second set of tracks? Yet these were not 12.50 wide mudders, no this second set of prints were made by a vehicle with street tires! And on top of that this offending puddle was smack dab between the rear differential and the transfer case! Then channeling my inner Sherlock Homes (still German) I was able to deduce that this vile site in front of me was made by a truck with a tandum rear axle between the hours of 10 am and noon...when they came to clean the septic.

OK all is right again, now were did I leave that Shiner?

Sure thing Ron! Do we need to employ the services of Bandit and the Snowman?

A thought though where do you live that they do not sell Shiner? I watched a movie where folks in New York City (get a rope) were drinking Shiners.

Hey Dub-R

I'm in Fla.... I'm assuming that Shiner is refering to beer. If that is a brand name , no we don't have it here in the Tampa Bay area.

Don't need to call Bandit and Snowman. Heck I WAS bandit....Bought the Black Hurst TA before it appeared in the movie.

Worked for GM at the time and got it on special order. The day it arrived my brother picked it up, ( he was an exec. with GM.) he drove it for 2 days before telling me it was in. Then when I came to his house to get it , he tells me to go see this movie. So that evening my GF and I go, and well what a suprise! More suprise after the movie...I can't get through the croud to get to my car!!! That year got alot of black cowboy hats and fake mustaches as gag gifts. Fun memories.....darn I miss that car!

Well..... glad your Bronc wasn't pukin.

RR-Texas is lucky-er then me. on Wednesday I went down to the steel shop to get some tubing for a project, and on my way home the lower radiator hose popped off. Yep, I lost all my coolant on the road. Few miles later my Bronco died in a intersection because the heat was too much :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Long story short I had to have my Bronco towed to the mechanic because the thermostat closed when the engine stalled so I couldn't fill it with enough water. Mechanic did his thing and I got lucky because all he did was fill it and test for $55. I was expecting way worse and a $150+ repair. Nothing in the engine got damaged so I don't have to worry about any further problems.

Yes sir on he beer!

I was over in Germany when the movie came out so it took a while before it hit post and there weren't too many American cars around. We did have a Pantera that kept showing up on different car lots. It would be nice if we could have kept all our old toys, I could still have a 65 Ford PU with a flat bed on the back, a 66 Mustang, 69 Impala (the battle cruzer) and my 77 Vette(***** the gas shortage I made that car run) had it airborne once.

I see you have a nice selection currently Ron

Skitter sorry to hear about the issues, glad it was an easy fix!

Hey Dub-R

If I had all my old toys back I could retire!

I had a 62 Chevy Impala SS 409 Convertable....saw one sold at Barrett Jackson a few monthsago for 49K! $-)

I had to sell mine when I got a job with GM, and had to move quick. I sold it to a tech school for $650!!!

I'm sad now. :((
