I would suspect that the seal is not set exactly right. Seals often exhibit that characteristic when wearing out. They leak when cold but as they heat up they expand and stop leaking.

Good luck,

if seal ok and hot losing oil pressure sound like

rear crankshaft bearing worn down

had some problem whit my 89 f 150 302 engine

lot of time lost of oil press ppl thing of oil pump

but not alway's the problem rear crank bearing wear can do that too

good thing to do when you replace any engine seal get new pcv valve

clog or defective valve may build engine crankcase pressure and blow seal

Im having the same exact same thing but it seems at idle it doesnt stream out but if i step on the brake and go into drive it streams out, into neutral it stops...up into reverse starts to stream out again. I can grab the harmonic balancer and wiggle it a little too much so crank needs attention. I knew my rear main seal was shot...but after talking to a Ford Mechanic (small private shop fella, i love those guys) he said yep sounds like ****** bearing is shot and gave a long explanation of what happens to cause the oil to stream out like that. sounded good to me so im gonna pull the motor and bring it to him and have him get it fixed.
