i need to know what size axles come stock on a 91 silver edition

also does it have a posi in the rear end

and last but not least is it worth it to pull a locker in the front end?

o and how well does a hi lift work when used as a winching device?

I am not sure exactly but usually the broncos have an 8.8 inch in the rear and a dana 44 in the front. If I were gonna put a locker in the front I'd get an ARB air locker so when its locked in 4wd and you unlock the front you can steer it easy like normal. A hi lift will work as a make shift winch its slow but it can be done. All you need is a couple cleviss and some chain. It will work in a pinch but it is slow.

Read this pinned topic to find out what your axle code is and whether you have limited slip or not:

As stated, the 91 Bronco has a Dana 44 TTB (twin Traction Beam) frontend, and a Ford 8.8" rear axle. I ran a full spool in the front of the 84 Bronco, and Roadkill has the ARB lockers in his. The ARB does use a compressor to work the locker.

A Hi-lift can be used as a winch in a pinch, but I've got a few scars from when that handle comes back and hits you in the head. i would suggest getting a 10K lb winch and mounting it to a good bumper or use a receiver hitch type mount. JSM84

Alot of what I've learned about tthe Bronco came from this forum, so I'm glad to pass along what I know. Plus, I'm an old man and have run Fords since i could drive. good luck with the 91, these are great rigs if you take a little care of'em!!! JSM84
