well ive fool with the idea of buying a bronco several times. ive always had a thing for them since my dad had an81 when i was a kid. but i never had the cash to get one being a strapped high school kid but a few weeks back the 2000 dodge dakota my parents gave me (already had it so it became mine when i turned 16) got hit by a 2007 dodge durango and was totaled.

it was a sad day when geico called me and told me my first truck was totaled. but i got a call from a friend of my sister's, she said she heard i needed a new truck and that her dad was thinking about selling his bronco for a new truck

so i drove to her house today and took a test drive it drove great so we had a little talk he said he was hoping for 4000 i said i can do 3500 when my check comes in this week and he said deal

it has:

a 5.0 that was rebuilt a year ago and has 14k on the rebuild

the trany(an auto) was rebuilt at the same time

the paint was done 3-4 years ago by the husband of his oldest daughter, he owns a well known body shop here

interior is pretty good for being 20 years old a little faded with a tear in the drivers seat but he dash looks new

new cd player with a small sub in the back

4wd works great

new gas tank and fuel pump/filter

2 little spots of rust above the doors but it hasn't penetrated so no biggie

tail gate and wheel wells are fine

back glass motor was replaced about 3 years ago

What year model is it, like 89/90? Looks real clean and well-cared for. Hopefully your insurance won't go up due to the accident. Drive safe, JSM84

And your wondering if you got a good deal? **** the rebuilt engine and tranny with only 14k makes it worth $2500-$3000 alone and thats if you really know someone. I could **** 3 goats, 4 cows and praise Ali for 6 months straight and wouldn't find that kinda of deal around here. Paint around here will run you $1000 min that is if you really know someone, unless you prep it yourself and get one of those $200 deals that will bubble up and pop off in a year or so. And of course it's a BRONCO. **** yeah you got a good deal. There's an 83 Bronco up the road that looks like he hit every tree on the trail, only has a rebuilt engine and a new Holly carb in it and he wants $2500 firm. If you know of anymore of those deals let me know. Have fun with it and DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!! BY the way around here is South Carolina, all trucks are gold here. So people think. LOL!

ok i brought her home on thursday im hosting pics on photobucket now so they will be up in a lil bit

i have a few questions:

1. what type of fuel injection does it have? is it efi?

2. the previous owner was using castrol 20w50 oil. the book says 10w30 is recommended so will i have issues switching from 20w50 to a 10w30 synthetic blend?

3. how hard are the window seals to replace on the doors and tailgate

edit: here are the pics
