Ok after pulling shaft and distributor,so I could change module.I changed waterpump, thermo and

coil while I had everything apart.Got shaft out of oil pan,put everything back together put it at TDC,then followed the way I had spark plugs to dist. prior to changing everthing. When I tried to start still sounds way off wont start, infact the solenoid stuck and it kept turning over on its own!!!Even after I turned key off .What

did I do wrong?????? Signed sunday mechanic

"----put it at TDC---"

Are you sure it's on compression stroke..? (not exhaust)

"----solenoid stuck and it kept turning over on its own!!! Even after I turned key off ---"

Did you break a mirror...? Not having much "good" luck....

Anyway, seperate issue.....hot/bad solenoid -or- faulty key-switch.

I ran the Plug wires on my son's 88FSB 351 it ran like crap. no power but it did run. when I rewired it like a 302 which peed him off it ran great. had a lot of module problems with it.. it would run great until it warmed up then shut down and not start until it cooled down . It was the module a crack in the circuit board...

My 88 is up and running fine ,but 100.00s of dollars later I still have the **** problem, they told me it s my rear end.Im still afraid it could be more than that. But any way get it toTDC then fine your firing sequence.

Start at # 1 plug and wire and go counter clockwise around cap.I have sequence in my haynes manual if you

dont have it. <)
