Took it to the technicians and i'm disappointed with the work, or lack of it in my case, they did to it. They said the timing is fine, but i have a big leak in my Air induction system and and exhaust leak. Could these be the culprit?

You have to keep the air ducts sealed to the air cleaner. If there is a leak it will not run well and probably give those symptoms.

Figured it out. The backfiring was being caused by bad plugs, cap and a rotor. had no idea those could cause backfire. spent two hours of labor at a shop to figure it out... :( /emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> oh well, lesson learned...
