Was driving a few days ago and it started sounding different in the engine like it was backing off of normal noise. Pulled in to a place, checked things out, got back in and did not start and the wonderful engine check light came on. Turns over, fuel pump engages but won't fire. Had a broken coil bracket so thought it was the ignition coil that was shot from banging around. Switched that out and the same thing it won't start. Plugs look fine and they are new with new wires and distributor this last winter. Tried reading through all posts but couldn't find anything I could use. I am not an electrical type of guy so checking that kind of stuff will take me some time unless I got some "circuits for dummies" instructions. I will keep working on it today but if anyone has some easy things to check for that is what I need before towing it to a garage which I hate! It is a 93, 351W, with a vortech supercharger and MSD Boost. Don't give me ***** it was on there when I bought it.
oh, noticed it looks like a leaking oil pump or a pan gasket. Checking on that but didn't think an oil pump would be the issue of not starting but maybe I am wrong.
Thank you for anyones help and keep it simple
