My name Sgt Sleepy and I'm a BRONCOHOLIC!
Some know I've been searching for a few weeks. Well I finally found my rig: 1990 Ford Bronco EB 5.0l AOD (14 bolt) 200K miles and I believe is geared at 3.54? I dunno it's what the tag up front on the dif reads... Rollin on a set of 31" tires/ no lift. 302 rebuilt at 90k (says the old man) it kinda sputters and a tranny that shifts great until you have to get on it up these hills. Down shift at 65mph feels like a hardshift/clunk. Or slow to a stop it downshifts into 1st/nuetral and hardshifts with a lurch. No leaks anywhere but a lil at the thermo housing, lil puddle of antifreeze chilling there.
I traveled most of California (1746 miles) and found an uncut unmolested old man owned ride. Just drove it home last night. 300+/- miles... Smogged it today, past'd the air quality part but it failed function because it was timed at 0*? Anyways had it timed at 10btdc and it passed well barely the first set of number punched up to 104 and 115 was max... Hmmmmmmm Thinking Sixlitre tuneup is in order... Don't have to smogg it for another 2 years anyways. So afterwards I stopped at kragens and bought2 cans of Seafoam, a K&N air filter, cig lighter well, Rainex bug juice and smell pine trees. Oh and Seafoam'd the motor through the BCV, waited awhile fixed the cig lighter put in the K/N. Fired it up and got NO SMOKE. I wanted a show...
A little about me: name is James (32), born and raised in LAS VEGAS NV (Desert Rat). USAF for the last 12 years, Security Forces. Currently on medical leave for a blown out knee, torn ACL. I live in Fresno Cali with my wife Dani and 2 daughters, Kaylen (12) and Olivia (9). 3 dogs, Marylin (7) Peanut (6) and Dozer (4 months). Huge Jeep fan had a Wrangler and 2 Cherokee.Recently owned a 66 IH Scout 800 (sold it for this). Sports: anything to do with Minnesota! (Wild, Twins though I do dig the Red Sox, Vikings) Nevada doesn't have sports so I'm a fan by marriage
