Have some noice..like squeeking/grinding/popping noice from my fronaxel when i drive my 89 xlt in 4x4-mode.

No noice at all when in regular rwd-mode

Is it the manual locking-hubs,the bearings or the driveshaft-joint that makes this noice?

Something is about to resign from my fron axel so pls help a Swede!

sounds like the front hubs arent engaging as they should. are they automatic hubs (self-engaging) or manual (turn **** on the face)? easiest way to check is to remove the hubs and check for any wear. while you're in there, pull the rotors and check the condition of the outer and inner bearings. repack them with grease and put it all back together if everything looks peachy

I would first replace the u-joints in the front driveshaft, or at least check their condition. I've seen many Broncos that still had the factory u-joints, and these are not very durable. Replace them with some greasable Spicer brand joints.

You also have three u-joints on the front axleshafts that could cause noise if they are worn but not yet broken. These are somewhat harder to replace, so I would check them well before replacing, unless you are doing another repair like wheel bearings or a gear swap.

Ok,my fist task at hand is to order 2 new joints and pherhaps replace the bearings at the same time.

Can anyone tell me whitch axels i got on my Bronco?

is the rearaxel a Ford and the frontaxel a Dana?

what gear-ratio r these axels on?

On your 1989 Bronco, the front axle is a TTB Dana44, the rear axle is a Ford 8.8"

You'll need to look up the axle code on the door jamb sticker or on the ID tags attached to the differentials to get the gear ratio. Most common on yours is code "I9" or (H9"), which is 3.54:1 front, 3.55:1 rear; but it's possible to have 3.08 gears, too.
