Fuse keeps blowing when I turn on the headlight switch. Headlights work fine, its the dash lights and rear tail running lights that keep blowing a fuse. I bypassed the fuel relay switch also 4 months ago, so i have it toggled to my fuel pump [-X (Its the only way i can get it to run) Any help would be apreciated

You most likely have a rub through short in as cable where a harness is running tight to the chassis. The tool you need is an EVTM (Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual) for your year truck. There are several on sale at eBay right now http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-Ford-R...286.m20.l1116It is the single most useful service manual I can suggest.

To troubleshoot the problem, you can start by disconnecting connectors one at a time until you isolate it to a set of wires. Using the EVTM will make that pretty simple. I have diagrams, but unfortunately not one for the BII. However the circuit will be very similar, since Ford didn't reinvent the wheel for every truck model, they pretty much used the same color codes and circuit design. Here is the circuit for an 83 FSB and you will find it close to what you are dealing with. If you can wait get one of the EVTMs that are available for a 1987 BII.

Good luck,

:)
