Hey new to the Bronco Zone. But I switched out my 93 wiring harness for a 95 mass air and switched the tranny from E40D to a 4R70W. What am i missing? everything else works except for tranny shifting and no speedo. any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i am missing the RABS module for the rear ABS does this monitor the VSS also? 4WABS is gone now its supposedly only RABS/

I think the speed sensor is part of the RABS controls all of the above. Should be a plug on the top of the diff.

yo,

As WILEEC mentioned.

You need the VSS signal input to drive the PSOM, as well as the PCM, E4OD (4R) and if equipped, the cruise contol

The VSS signal travels from the VSS through a fewc connectors to the 4WABS Control Module and then to the PSOM and on to PCM/Tranny/CC via more connectors; as show in this;

To bypass the 4WABS module @ it's harness's connector & feed the ABS signal directly to the PSOM,

In Module's connector (harness side); jumper LG/Bk to LG/Y, and R/Pk to O/LB..."

yo,

Update; re- your PM in case you don't see the message indicator;

All you need for the speedo to work and then the 4r and PCM is to run the two wire from VSS to psom module connector.

You need circuit (CKT):

519 LG/BK and 523 R/PK (oink)

Grab the VSS wires at the connector in firewall to interior - C202;

Here is its location http://www.supermotors.net/registry/media/851827_1 (below master cylider booster)

n

Here are the pins diagram

c202205-93b.jpg

see pins 46 & 47

Follow the path in this diagram

vss94bronco.jpg

you will see we bypass those bastard connectors in dash (C119) and at 4WABS Module.

Now to the PSOM connector. (note colors change, but we-re still running it like a string..

PSOM Connector Pin Out.JPG

4 491 (O/LB) 4WABS Signal Input

5 530 (LG/Y) 4WABS Signal Return
