I have an 86 BII 2.9 4WD. 2 Pumps. I just had to change my low Press pump(In-tank). After I changed it, the damn thing would come on after I'd get out, my battery would be dead in the morning, I heard it one night at work and the only fix that I could do at the time was cut the Inertia switch wires and that killed the pump. Next morning I twisted them together started up and went home. This happened for a couple days. One day I go to start and No fuel, and No spark. My code puller gave me a Code 15 No Keep Alive Memory power to PCM pin 1 or bad PCM (Memory Test Failure). Well my computer is new if that is the fix for this code. And I tried another computer in it to test it and it didn't work. Does anyone have any clues. I'm really getting frustrated with this truck, I would love for this truck to be my toy, but there's not much funding for a toy that i'm dumping time and money into just keeping it running from week to week. This is what I'd replaced so far: the starter, computer, fuel pump relay, in-tank pump, ignition coil, ignition module and temp sensor. I got this truck for free so it is definitely worth it, I think-and it wasn't running when I got it, because some ******* changed the battery connections, and put a grounding wire that should've went on the negative battery side and put it on the positive connector. That took a long time to find. That, in-turn, fried my computer, fuel pump relay and ignition module. This truck only had one owner and has 110k miles on it. Can anyone help, please? Electrics is my worst enemy.

i have heard that if you don't have fuel the computer wont signal for it to fire not sure if this is true but i saw you didn't replace the second fuel pump the way i fix this kind of stuff cuz electrical stuff is my worst enemy to is start with the cheapest things and work your way up also check your fuel pressure regulator.

ok, if the engine turns over, but doesn't fire off, try feeding it manually with carb cleaner (the kind in a $2 spray can) in light bursts. you'll need help, somebody to turn the key for you. if it runs, it's the ground wire that goes between the computer and the actual battery terminal. it's small and easilly missed, but without it the computer won't fire the injectors. i've fixed this problem maybe 3 times in the last 5 years. if that doesn't fix it, you have a serious wiring problem to sort out, possibly a completely new (or good used) harness.
