I will try to be as brief as possible with this...

I have lost all electrical power to my bronc..(sometimes). I got in her a few nights ago and she was totally dead. I left the key on while I was wondering what was wrong, after a few seconds the dash lites came on and when I turned the key she started.

It done this everytime I try to start her. BUT this am nothing at all, totally dead. A couple of interesting things..when it would start after one of those dead times the battery light would come on and the gague showed her charging really high for a few minutes and the work light under the hood always had a really faint glow while everything else was dead.

I took her over and had the codes run and they showed only code 11. I was told that code 11 was to show everything was normal(?) (I know nothing about what the codes are telling me).

Oh, one more thing I changed out the head lamps, put in same ones as were in there. (9004-CB) It was a few days before this other started.

Any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks

P.S. Blade 262, I've been trying to PM you but it says ERROR can't figure out why.

It sounds like a grounding problem. Check the condition of your cables to the battery and starter and the ground cable attached to the engine block. Remove them and clean the contact surfaces and while you are at it check the condition of the cabel, especially where it goes into the lug.

Good luck,

:)>-

Thanks to Seabronc and Blade 262, Right on the money. Closer check found positive batt cable to be almost corroded in half.

Did not see it the first time because it was under the rubber caseing. Thanks again...
