I have a 1990 Ford Bronco 4x4 with a 351w and a E4OD I have a problem with brake lights not working, Check Bulbs, Replaced Brake Light Switch it then blew fuses replaced fuse blew again stuck bigger fuse then melted harness coming from brake light switch. Has anyone had this problem or does brake lights tie into any other switches.

Brake Wiring Diagram in a 90 Bronco

Check the Brake Light Switch harness for short caused by rubbing on a steel support (Ford describes this as Half car beam);  wire assy may be trapped/pinched between Half car beam & instrument panel attachment

Beam is shown as # 4 in this TSB by Ford via Steve

Also applies in some instances to your 90
