Hi Y'all!

My name is Paul and I am the proud new owner of a '91 Bronco. I am fortunate enough to live near the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. My Bronco was purchased with the intent of turning it into a almost full-time dune runner. It is about as stock as it can get. 351 W, E4OD, Borg Warner. Eddie Bauer package. I am open to suggestions about most any improvements or ideas. If you have something that worked well for you and you think it may be applicable to me, I would love to hear it. I see to need to re-invent the wheel. If you guys (and girls) have made a modification that you find works well, or ones that didn't too, please share it with me. Thanks.

Welcome to the Zone. Post a few pictures of your truck. I am doing several modifications right now aimed at improved power to the rear wheels and improved gas milage. Just completed this one http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2003/02...fan/index.shtml . Also bumped my alternator up to 140 Amp due to mods requiring additional electrical power. The next one is an electric water pump which is a biggy for power to the wheels and improved gas milage. After that I will be doing some fine tuning and carborator adjustments to peak out the power and milage. My goal is to get over 20 MPG which I believe is doable.

Good luck,

:)>-

Paul, welcome to Bronco Zone!!! I think Seabronc is on the right track, look to the engine first for any performance mods. Keep in mind that any increase in HP or torque will put more stress on the tranny and axles. One of the next things most folks do is change the tires, maybe add a small suspension lift. A 31x10.50 all-terrain tire would be a good starting point for a stock Bronco for both the highway and sand, trails, etc. You can find all of the info about your stock components on the 91 by searching the forums, and look for ways folks have modified the suspension and axles. Good luck with your project, Broncos Rock!!! :)>-

Welcome,

Everyone here on the list are very helpful and have a lot of knowledge when it comes to the Bronco. I am getting ready to replace my ball joints on my Bronco, then I will move on and have my tranny and diff's rebuilt with lockers and new gears. Then on to my engine for a rebuild. I might put a 6" lift on it before the engine work as the engine is running well as of now.

enjoy the list..

ps.

lived in Michigan for a numbers of years before I moved to NC.
