Hello from Oregon,

I have just decided to take the plunge and get myself another Bronco. Previously owned a 1976, let it go during a military move and couldnt keep 2 vehicles.

Am looking for a 78-96... with preference to the 92-96 (5th generation)

Looking for a real truck, not a resto mod, museum queen, etc...

Something than runs, and I can rebuild at my leisure.

TIA,

Mark

Welcome aboard.
You should be able to find something sooner or later that will fit your budget. The things seem to crop-up here & there.

I have a 1993 XLT with a 5.8 and E4od and a 1996 Xl with a 302 and M5OD manual

The 1996 is by far the best. OBD2 and mass air flow is worth the extra cost.

Plenty of parts available ..... the only thing I would look for is RUST.

Mileage does not matter any more

Rear leaf spring hanger, Tailgate bottom, and inside rear wheel wells will tell you everything you need to know. look at the drip rails on the roof to ensure they have not started rusting also

you do not want any surprises when the carpet comes out.

The extra 4 or 5 grand you pay for a rust free Bronco will more than pay for itself .. if you plan of turning wrenches yourself
