Hi all. just registered for the bronco zone. I have been reading the posts for a couple of days now. I am a new owner (not a driver yet, will explain later) of a 1985 full size bronco. its sun faded red with a white fiberglass top. It has a 4.9L 300 inline 6 engine, 15/39/15 mickey thompson baja tires( with dry rot cracks) on aluminum mags. It has a 4" chassis lift and a 4" body lift.
It has been sitting in my storage area for about 2 years, unstarted. The mods were originaly done in Hawaii, then it was shipped to california, then when I met my wife, we had it trailered here to Pennsylvania.
The reason that I am an owner and not a driver is because it is way illegal here in pa. The bumbers are too high, the tires stick out too far and all the emmisions stuff were taken off. I have a very small budget to get it legal. Working on smaller tires to fit the 15x10 rims (around $300 to spend) I know, good luck. Smaller tires will take care of 2 of the legal problems. Now here is where I need the expert advice of people in this forum. I need to purchase and install all the emmision stuff that was on or at least what pa requires for emmisions. Where do I go about getting the info and where and how to hook it up?
I should also add that it has a offenhouser exhaust maniflod, headers(not sure of name), single exhaust with cat converter, carb all I know is that it is a holley performance o/e, not sure what type of intake manifold.
Sorry for the long post. Like I said, I'm a newby. Pics of the bronco will be coming soon, after pics will be comming hopefully before the end of the year.
