need some help

I have a problem. when i step on the gas the truck seems to hesitate for a few seconds then gets up to sped. just woundering what it could be.

I have a 1988 bronco w/351w

champ25, have you pulled for any engine codes? The "hesitation' may be a fuel problem, engine problem or transmission acting up. The DTC's would help get you started. JSM84

Could also be a vacuum leak, so be sure that you check for vacuum leaks before you pull codes. WIthin the link that JSM84 posted to pulling codes there are some good pointers on how to check for vacuum leaks.
