I bought a replacement o2 sensor from Autozone tonight. They sold me the Bosch 13953 for my 351W. From what I've read by searching around, this has worked for others, but it is not working for me. The Bosch o2 sensor is not threading in, yet the old one still threads in, is it possible it might take a different one?

I removed my old o2 sensor by heating up the y pipe and the wrenching it free with a large plumber's wrench. The tip of it broke off inside there, but I am not too concerned with it, should I be?

On the old sensor, are the threads x-threaded? If so, get a thread tap; or find a mechanic w/HeliCoil Oxygen Sensor Thread Repair Kit; & do Not spray any silicone based penetrants/**** in there. & do not let anti-seize, grease, **** or oil to contaminate the oxygen sensor prior to installation

So far, the pn look good from var. sources.

Thanks for the info. I solved the problem today, it was due to carbon buildup in the threads. I used a tap to clean out the threads, and it was a piece of cake to get in after that.
