Allright i need some help cuz im just wasting money in the process to fix this. A little while ago i was stopped at a light and the truck just died it does this often because i rebuild the carb in winter and was to cold to adjust then so i left it how it was. So anyway it ended up dying on me at a light tried to restart it and nuthing. Opened the hood and there was no power the cable had came loose so i put it back on and tried to crank it over again no luck cable litterly moved off the + terminal. I got it towed to my house and later looking it would do the same thing and the wires would get to hot to touch and they would jolt everytime i tried to start it. Originaly i thought it could be the starter from having to start it over and over again from stalling so i went and bought a starter put it in still nuthing went and picked up a starter sylanoid put it in and this time it starts cranking but it wont shut off it just keeps cranking even after taking the key out you have to remove the battery cable for it to stop. Any help would be greatly appreciated seeing as my bike broke down last night so so im walking myself around the city.

Sounds like the solinoid contacts stuck or the pick line was still hot after you turned off the key. Did you try to remove the small Red wire on the solinoid, that is the line from the start position of the key to pick the solinoid. Check both the + and - side of the connections toi the battery and starter. Clean all contacts on both ends of the cable. The - side goes to the engine block and may be corroded.

Good luck,

:)>-

Double check your starter solenoid connection. Make sure you have it wired correctly. If this isn't the problem, you might want try replacing the starter solenoid. Just a thought...
