hey hows it goin, please help me

Last weekend i hooked up a aftermarket tachometer that my brother gave me, probably shouldn't have because it was like 20 years old... too late now, Ok i ran the wire to the coil, and hooked the ground to a good grounded spot and hooked the power wire to my trailer brake controler power wire. Ok after i did that i had everything set up nicely, redneck styled the tach ( duck taped it to the dash) and went to start it. Now i cant drive my truck, it wont start , turns over and such but doesn't start. PLEASE HELP ME PEOPLE.

This may sound like a dumb question, but did you unhook the wires you put on for the tac? What happens when you try to start it. Does the engine turn over? Have you checked for spark? Do you have 12V at the coil when the key is in "start or run"?

Here is a troubleshooting proceedure.

Good luck,

:)>-

yes i did take the wires off, and it wouldn't start either way, i just checked and i had no spark at the coil as well as any where else in the spark plug wires. I think i am going to by a new Blaster 2 coil anyways, i will see if this helps but if you have some more ideas for me let me know because i want to try these things anyways to see if i can fix it . When i turn the key it just turns over as i stated before.

Use the trouble shooting proceedure I gave you in the my previous post. It will save you some money. don't just throw parts at it.

Good luck,

i fixed it, but it turns out that one of distributor side of the coil was all coroded (or how ever you spell that) ;-D i wanted to get a newer coil anyways, i still had the original. I bought a Blaster 2 and it workd. :-0 thanks for the suggestions though, you sure have answers for everything, lol, you also have trouble shooting diagrams or diagrams for everything, thanks for all of the help on all of my worries.

peace
