So I decided to try something. I bought this cargo basket from Harbor Freight for $69 on sale. Comes as aluminum and is actually quite strong! I had a 302 motor on this thing. Says it supports 500lbs.. No idea how much that motor weighs but it handled it with no problem. Deff made the back end of my truck sag  Only damage was a lil scratch and a bent peice on the bottom plate that you can't notice without actually looking.

Anyway so here are the photos, this is the stuff I used..

$7.68 @ Wally world. I used 3 cans (because I use this often and camp with it all the time) You could get by with 2 cans

This basket at Harbor Freight. Last I checked it was on sale for $79.99 usually $99.99....

So this was my setup and color..

And here it is with the bedliner spray. It has a slight rough texture but appears smooth. We'll see how it holds up on a few camp trips. Reason I went this route was because I felt this would look better matching my truck than the aluminum with red reflectors..

Thanks!

I'm impressed with how it turned out. There really is no "wrong" way to spray this stuff on. Unlike paint, you can go over it a few times and it'll always have the same texture. Now if you sit in a constant spot, yeah it'll drip. This is MUCH easier than actual spray paint..

So I'm sure I'll be using this stuff for a few things such as: touch up on my hard cap - a fresh new coat. My spare tire rack. My wheels. And whiper blades.
